​Accounting Manager

Role Summary:

Responsible in the verification, post and reconcile financial transactions.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Oversees day-to-day processing and recording of financial transactions (Revenues, Expenses, Assets and Liabilities).

Prepares Financial Statements supporting schedules.

 

Ensures fair and complete financial statements that comply with generally accepted accounting principles, regulatory requirements and industry practices.

Complies with regulatory requirements, company and group policies; maintain compliance awareness.

Identify exceptions and problems affecting accounting records and communicate the same to the concerned unit and to management, assisting in the resolution.

Ensures the books and records are accurate at various levels.

Assists with internal and external audit requests.

Performs other related tasks as may be assigned by the Accounting Head.

Competencies required:

  • With relevant work experience in the preparation of financial statements and BIR tax filings.

  • Knowledge of banking and financial services industries.

  • Efficient and thorough; strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a deadline-driven environment; firm commitment on quality and excellence.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to develop relationships with multiple stakeholders throughout an organization.

  • Self-motivated, able to work independently in a relatively unstructured environment.

  • Proficiency with MS Office applications particularly MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

  • Knowledge of accounting and financial concepts, experience with bank accounting and financial statement analysis.

  • Ability to identify and resolve potential issues / problems.

  • Works collaboratively with team members to achieve shared goals. High level of integrity.

Education and experience required:

  • Bachelor of Science in Accountancy graduate

  • Preferably CPA. At least 5 years of relevant work experience, particularly in accounting operations in banking or investments industry.
